Gated Molecular Diffusion at Liquid–Liquid Interfaces

چکیده
The jamming of nanoparticle surfactants (NPSs) at liquid–liquid interface imparts attractive properties to the interfacial assemblies and enables structuring liquids. Herein, we report photoresponsive supramolecular microcapsules with jammed NPS oil-water interface, taking advantage host–guest molecular recognition. permeability colloidal membrane can be effectively manipulated by switching NPSs from a state an unjammed photo trigger, leading controlled diffusion release, affording versatile platform for construction next generation smart microcapsule systems.

Freestanding Ultrathin Nanoparticle Membranes Assembled at Transient LiquidLiquid Interfaces
(please note that in this context, we defi ne as membrane any freestanding thin layer, regardless of selective mass-transport properties). These approaches rely on the possibility of NPs to adsorb and pack into a dense network at an interface. This can occur if the free energy of the nanoparticles bound at the interface is lower than that of the NPs in either of the two phases. [ 38–40 ] The su...
متن کاملSmcon diffusion at po~ycrystamne-SilGaAs interfaces
Pollycrystalline-Si/GaAs interfaces have been prepared by depositing hydrogenated amorphous Si (a-Si:H) onto GaAs in a silane plasma at 450°C and annealing at temperatures between 600 and 1020 dc. Rutherford backscattering, secondary ion mass spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy show that the resulting polycrystaHine-SilGaAs interface is metaBurgically stable when the Si is und.op...
متن کاملUltrafast static and diffusion-controlled electron transfer at Ag29 nanocluster/molecular acceptor interfaces.
Efficient absorption of visible light and a long-lived excited state lifetime of silver nanoclusters (Ag29 NCs) are integral properties for these new clusters to serve as light-harvesting materials. Upon optical excitation, electron injection at Ag29 NC/methyl viologen (MV(2+)) interfaces is very efficient and ultrafast. Interestingly, our femto- and nanosecond time-resolved results demonstrate...
متن کاملMolecular simulation of translational and rotational diffusion of Janus nanoparticles at liquid interfaces.
We perform molecular dynamics simulations to understand the translational and rotational diffusion of Janus nanoparticles at the interface between two immiscible fluids. Considering spherical particles with different affinity to fluid phases, both their dynamics as well as the fluid structure around them are evaluated as a function of particle size, amphiphilicity, fluid density, and interfacia...
متن کاملMolecular Self-Assembly at Metal-Electrolyte Interfaces
The self-assembly of molecular layers has become an important strategy in modern design of functional materials. However, in particular, large organic molecules may no longer be sufficiently volatile to be deposited by vapor deposition. In this case, deposition from solution may be a promising route; in ionic form, these molecules may even be soluble in water. In this contribution, we present a...
